Elizabeth Thomas graduated Rutgers University with a B.A. in Biology and Classics, with a concentration in Latin. Her academic studies were inspired by a dedicated middle school science teacher, and an enthusiastic high school Latin teacher, who insisted that Latin was neither outdated nor dead. Elizabeth worked in a lab and used Latin scientific terms every day, and then happily managed a bookstore. As a Christian homeschooling mother of four beautiful children, who tested as dyslexic and learning-challenged, in a home over-stuffed with books, she thus began a new career as a teacher in the classical manner of recitation, memorization and discussion. For the past 8 years she has taught classes of elementary and middle school students in science and Latin, utilizing the 7 styles of learning, and directed local homeschool communities. Still a voracious reader, she resides in suburban New Jersey with her family and presently 12 furred or feathered pets.
