Sheila graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education focusing on secondary mathematics. After teaching high school for a short time in PA, she moved to Maryland where she taught middle school for several years. After beginning work on a Master’s in Education at Towson University, focusing on Educational Technology, she began training teachers to use technology in the classroom. An unexpected move to North Carolina turned her attention to staying at home with her young children.
A few years later, she and her husband felt the Lord leading them to homeschool their children. During the years that they homeschooled their children, she began teaching high school math classes to groups of homeschooled students, which continues until this day. She recently returned to school and will be completing a Master’s of Science in Mathematics in the fall of 2022 through an online program with Central Methodist University.
Sheila still resides in North Carolina with her husband of 26 years. She is blessed with three children, two in college and one in high school, and a rambunctious miniature Goldendoodle.
