This course is an extension of Algebra 1. We will study linear functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, quadratic functions, and more. Each of these concepts will also be applied to inequalities and graphs. Some additional topics at the end of the year may include Probability, Statistics, Conic Sections, Matrices, Sequences and Series, basic Discrete Mathematics topics, and/or an Introduction to Trigonometry. This course will prepare students for an upper-level high-school mathematics course, college-level mathematics, and the SAT/ACT. This is a full year course and is recommended for 11th grade students. Math classes at Big River Academy meet for 1 hour 2 times a week; please note this in your scheduling.
*We are currently in interviews for a new Algebra II instructor, so as soon as a new instructor is determined, we will finalize and announce when this class will be offered. Registration is open for this course for anyone wishing to secure a seat.
