Science
Biology
Are you curious about brown eyes and blue eyes? We will learn about genetics! Are you curious about diseases? We will discuss bacteria and viruses! Are you curious about life? We will understand cells-and what makes them tick! This course is intended for high school level biology students covering topics including: Cells, taxonomy, scientific method, chemistry of biology, genetics, embryology, bacteria, viruses, creation vs. evolution, biosphere, photosynthesis, invertebrates, vertebrates, plants, ecology, etc. Students will learn and submit formal lab reports as assignments on labs chosen by the teacher.
Bridge to Biology (middle school)
This life science course is aimed for the middle grades (6-8), and provides students with the opportunity to learn about living things and the way that God created them to function. Course topics include: the nature of science; characteristics of life; cell structure and function; genetics; creationism and how it relates to biology; microbiology, plant biology, and animal biology; and finally, the unique design of the human body. While coursework will be at a seventh to eighth grade level, it is also appropriate for a more advanced sixth grade student or a bridge to biology for a student who needs preparation for a more advanced biology course.
Chemistry
This course will cover Properties of Matter, The Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding, Nomenclature, The Mole, Chemical Equations, Stoichiometry, Gas Laws, Phase Changes, Acids and Bases, and pH. Labs during the course will focus on making observations, drawing conclusions and writing lab reports.
Explore Chemistry (middle school)
What makes up everything in our universe?
We will answer this question and so many more through a Christian perspective as we discover the elements of the periodic table and how they combine to make up the world around us.
Explore Creation Science (middle school)
Have you ever wondered where everything on this earth came from? Let’s travel back in time and explore the earth when it was new. We will discover when each animal was created, even dinosaurs!
In this class we will get a solid foundation of Creation as we discuss both Creation and Evolution. We will learn more about the age of our earth, the great flood, fossils, and so many more interesting topics.
This class will be an excellent foundation for preparing your children with a Biblical worldview.
Explore Earth & Space (middle school)
Have you ever wanted to know why we see the moon out during the daytime, how deep the ocean is, or why we have seasons? Have you ever wanted to learn more about our planet or the planets in our solar system? We will discover some amazing facts as we blast off into space, swim into the depths of our oceans, and roam around our planet earth. We will learn about volcanoes, earthquakes, and so much more as we journey around this sphere. Let’s discover a whole new world of God’s creation together!
Explore Physics (middle school)
What is gravity? What is matter and why does it behave the way it does? Did you ever wonder how an x-ray works?
These questions and many more will be answered as we delve into the world of Physics.
Physics gives us a glimpse into the materials, laws, and structures of God’s universe.

Land Before Time: Dinos & Rocks (middle school)
Discover a land before time as we explore geology, prehistoric creatures, and much more!
Join me in this fascinating course as we learn about our Earth: geology by studying rocks, geological layers, and fossils, and as we study dinosaurs and the times they roamed the earth. We will also delve into other various Earth science topics as we study geology and our earth through some of our own national parks, the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park. Exploring the Grand Canyon is a one-of-a-kind adventure. It is one of the most amazing features on the face of the planet. The size and majesty of the Canyon are overwhelming—it’s also a mystery! Was it formed quickly in a catastrophic event, or slowly over millions of years? In our class, we will journey through the Grand Canyon, discovering incredible views, fascinating science, and intriguing creatures. We will look at our world from a young-earth Creationist view and see how everything fits God’s Biblical timeline including the creatures that roamed our earth.
Psychology
This class will be a look at the study of psychology, the study of the human mind and behavior. In this very practical class, you will learn how your mind processes and interprets information. You will explore topics such as mental health and wellness, how to build successful interpersonal relationships, how to improve your study habits and memory, as well as, how the brain grows and develops.
This class is designed for students in grades 8-12.
