Homeschool for the 21st Century

Conquering Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Unlock the potential of Microsoft Office. Most individuals can open these programs and figure out enough to produce basic results. Wouldn’t it be nice to know how to make a stellar document or know time-saving techniques? How about being able to create charts and tables that adjust as you input more data? Or even learning how to to produce presentations that are sleek and professional in appearance?

In this 15-week course, we will learn how to effectively and efficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Students will learn the basics and explore many of the more advanced features to help them put their work above and beyond that of their peers. A final project will tie all three programs and demonstrate the valuable knowledge obtained through this course.

This course will also contain an extra credit unit to learn touch typing. Credit will be awarded when students reach at least 30 wpm and 90% accuracy on the final test.
